Owner and Resident Tattooist

Sheila is Aurora Inks owner and head tattooist. She has been tattooing for over 15 years.   

Aurora Ink is among the oldest running female studios in Scotland.  Which she is very proud of.

She can turn her hand to various styles of tattooing.  But her natural style is easy to see in her work.

Her favourites are Animals, Flowers, Nature, Neo-Traditional &  Greyscale.

Mark Johnson

Body Piercer

Mark trained under Richard Morel (Master Piercer) in 2011 and has been our main body piercer since 2013. 

He has completed various courses and seminars in piercing throughout the UK.

Mark has been traditionally trained so you can rest assure your piercing is in the best hands.

Jeni Polson

Assistant Shop Front Manager & Junior Piercer

Jeni is usually your first contact when contacting the studio for any reason.

She can help you with aftercare, choice in jewellery and  jewellery changing.   Along with piercing care, booking tattoos, consultations, etc.

Jeni completed her piercing apprenticeship with Mark early 2023.

Alannah Spence 

Junior Tattooist

Alannah is our newest crew member.

She has been with us since 2022 and has been training at the studio, bringing her bubbly personality with her.    Alannah has studied art at Moray School of Art, Elgin  and decided to move back to shetland to follow her tattooing dream.

She loves to tattoo anything bright and colourful.  But she can turn her hand to many different styles and we are very excited to see where tattooing leads her.
